Camp Ray of Hope is a weekend retreat for grieving Mainers. My eldest daughter and I attended for many years as participants, and for the last several years we have spent the annual weekend volunteering to support others in their grief. There is no cost to attend, programming is available for kids and adults, and there is childcare available for kiddos younger than 3.
The latest issue of my newsletter has arrived, with a fun, coloring page artist; lots of tasty recipes; some reading recommendations, a bunch of upcoming writing workshops, and other morsels. You can read the July/August 2024 issue of the Red Eft here.

I will be volunteering at Camp Ray of Hope this year, and I'll be offering a "Writing through Grief" workshop as part of the programming. Writing and journaling can be incredibly helpful tools when we are living through the loss of a loved one, and this workshop is designed to help participants explore different writing techniques.
