I'm thrilled to be collaborating with All Things Become New to bring some FREE writing workshops to the world this spring! We have two virtual workshops scheduled for April and May, and then we will be doing in-person workshops up in Aroostook County (way northern Maine!) in June. There is no cost to participate in these workshops, but registration is required. To register, please reach out to Suzanne Morneault at [email protected] or at (207) 540-5446.

The latest issue of my newsletter, the Red Eft, is here! It features the phenomenal human, Jena Schwartz, and her new book of writing prompts, some fun botanical dye projects, writing and workshop updates, and more. You can read the issue here.
This past fall, I collaborated with the Maine-based nonprofit, All Things Become New, to submit a grant to the Maine Humanities Council for an Arts & Humanities Grant. Our plan was to bring community writing workshops to Aroostook County, the northernmost county in Maine (affectionately referred to as "the County" here in Maine). Last month, Suzanne and I were thrilled to learn that our project was selected to receive a grant. Over the coming months, we will be planning and scheduling five community writing workshops (two virtual ones and three in-person) to happen this spring and summer. More details will be shared soon! To learn more about All Things Become New and the incredible impact the organization has on northern Maine communities, visit their website here.
The latest issue of my newsletter, The Red Eft, is here! It features writer Nick Regiacorte and his new book of poems, American Massif, some writing and volunteer updates, reading recommendations, a handful of rhubarb recipes, and some goat facts from Zoe. You can read the newsletter here.
My latest newsletter is here, and it has a new name: the Red Eft. What on earth is a red eft? Read on to find out. This issue features artist and writer Emily Knowles, a couple recipes, writing updates, and reading recommendations, as well as a tree fact from Zoe. Happy reading!
My July/August newsletter can be found here. It includes some updates, a blue whale knitting pattern AND a fact about humpback whales, and the featured artist is an old friend, B.J. Hollars, and his new book, "Go West, Young Man: A Father and Son Rediscover America on the Oregon Trail."
In July I was notified that I received an Individual Project Grant for Artists from the Maine Arts Commission. The grant funding will help enable me to work on my memoir over the coming year, and I'm so grateful for the support!
