My latest essay, a bit of a love story about the marsh behind my old house, was published today on Catapult. This one was a challenging piece to write, but I'm so glad to have it out in the world. Even though I recently moved, that marsh will forever be part of my life and my memories.

I just finished reading your "A letter to my dead husband..." in the Washington Post, and the tears just keep coming. That was so powerful, I felt as if I were there. Thank you for your honesty, and I'm looking forward to reading more of your work. (And hope motherhood, round 2, is treating you well).

I just read an essay of yours about friends in Brain, Child. What an incredibly moving essay!
